Pumpkin Patch...

I LOVE THE PUMPKIN PATCH!!!!! I adore pumpkins and the place that grows them is just as awesome in my book (it could be debated that our local pumpkin patch doesn't actually 'grow' the pumpkins, but in my bliss of the blessed event, I choose to ignore that unimportant fact!). I guess it has been 2 weeks now...my how October is just FLYING by!

I absolutely LOVED the kids reactions when I told them we were going on our annual pilgramage to the pumpkin patch! I am SO rubbing off on them! Cheers everywhere! Life is GOOD! (I know, it is just a pumpkin...I can't seem to help myself) Well, by the time we arrived at the patch we had 2 excited and one grumpy gus (too excited to take a nap!)...can you guess which one...

The annual pics with pumpkins...I LOVE October!...don't those pumpkins and gourds just 'look' happy!

When did this one get so grown up?

And the pumpkins finally won over the grumpy one...you just can't be sad when surround by round balls of happiness!

Why do I LOVE pumpkins? Maybe because I share hair color with them...maybe because it signals the end of summer and the return of cooler tempuratures...maybe I just like squash (well, not so much that one!). They just make me happy and why not surround yourself with something that makes you happy, especially if it is relatively cheap and seasonal and great for decorating! So here is my plug to go out and buy yourself a pumpkin...it will just make you happy!

Happy Fall...

Fall in Montana can be a harrowing experience...last year it was SO cold and we had 6 inches of snow on Oct 6th! The trees hadn't even thought about changing colors yet, and the leaves just dropped...still green...on top of the snow...bummer! THIS year is a completely different story! What fabulous weather we are having, the trees are slowly changing colors and it is just the kind of fall that I live for! I LOVE this time of year (it definitely might be that redheads look the best in autumnal colors)! I was even able to take some fall pics!

Today we are headed to the pumpkin patch...my absolute favorite! Apparently, my love of pumpkins is rubbing off on my kids...I told them where we were headed today...you would have thought they won the lottery! Excited doesn't even scrape the surface! I can't wait to find our pumpkin goodness and take about a million pictures! Yipee!
